Valley or Mount Robert ski fields.
As one of New Zealand's premier wine producing areas, a visit to some the
countries best vineyards is essential. Some of the notable labels are Glovers
vineyard, Neudorf vineyard, Seifried Estate, Redwood Cellars, Pelorus Vineyard,
and Ruby Bay wines. For people interested in a local brewery, the legendary
McCashins Brewery and Malthouse is open to visitors where a pint of the famous
Black Mac can be sampled
With one of Nelson's main industries being fishing - dining out is a pleasure!
Scallops from the Tasman and Golden bays combined with mussels and oysters
from the close Marlborough Sounds make a feast indeed. Deep sea fish such
as Orange Roughie and Hoki are also available fresh from the trawlers.
